School Without Walls



We at Ankur Vidyamandir like to incorporate nature in our studies.
Our students enjoy the open classroom teaching as much as they enjoy the rain drops and cool breeze brushing through their hair.
How we wish we could look at a tree and learn what different parts of trees are.
Touch and feel the roots, stems, branches, leaves, flowers, etc. This is just an example of various concepts that could be imparted through the wonderful concept of Open classrooms.
Many feel it’s a hindrance, a loss of attention/distraction. However we at Ankur Vidyamandir view it as enjoying every bit of nature, absorbing its beauty and imparting Knowledge.

Functional Lab

Open Space to carry out Lab experiments. It is an area that can be used for many different activities. Can be used for and Art and Craft section, Music and Dance section, for Yoga, for Meditation, etc.

Sensory Garden

A Sensory Garden is a garden environment that is designed with the purpose of stimulating the senses.
A Sensory garden can be very therapeutic. It may be used as a calming place and as a gentle way to stimulate the senses.


Our Annapurna’s (Maushis) prepare delicious and wholesome breakfast and lunch for our young lads.
The Menu is chalked out every week keeping in mind the intake of adequate proteins, carbohydrates, fats, minerals and yet making it tasteful and healthy.

We have a collection of more than 3500 books. Our kids enjoy reading books and discussing it in the class.

Play Area

Our kids enjoy the play space under the lush green cover of Gulmohar trees. Our school is a home for two rabbits, one cat and number of birds who pay visit to us.
